Have you ever tried an Arnold Palmer before? This drink, brought to the public conscience thanks to legendary golfer Arnold Palmer’s preference to sip this beverage after his matches, is a popular drink that is usually purchased in bottled or canned form. Arnold Palmers taste even better, though, when made at home using all-natural ingredients. Let’s learn how to make them!

Ingredients

For tea:

  • 64 fluid ounces water
  • 6 family-sized black tea bags (or 20 individual bags)
  • 1.5 cups white sugar

For lemonade:

  • 40 fluid ounces water
  • 8 fluid ounces fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 8 lemons)
  • 1 cup white sugar

Other ingredients:

  • Ice (for serving)
  • Lemon slices (for serving)

Instructions

Start off by preparing the tea that you’ll use in the drink. Begin by bringing 64 fluid ounces of water to a boil and turn off the heat. Once the water is slightly cooled from the boiling point, place the tea bags into the water and allow to steep for 5-7 minutes.

After this, introduce the 1.5 cups of white sugar while the water is still hot and stir until dissolved. Set aside.

As the tea begins to cool, juice eight lemons (or however many you need to get 8 fluid ounces of lemon juice). Add in a pitcher to 40 fluid ounces of water, and add sugar.

Next, pour the still-warm hot tea into the pitcher along with the lemonade, add the rest of the sugar, and stir until the other cup of sugar is completely dissolved.

Cover and allow to chill in the refrigerator until cool. Serve in a glass with ice and lemon slices for a little bit of decoration. Cheers!
