There are some classic foods that belong in the oven. However, almost anything can be roasted. Roasting brings a whole new flavor profile to each product and can make all the difference when it arrives on your plate. Try these recipes below and cook something new tonight.

Cauliflower Leaves

Normally, you only use the florets of the cauliflower, not the actual leaves. However, they’re completely edible and totally delicious. Just roast them with some olive oil and sea salt and you’ll be surprised at what you’ve been missing out on.

Pumpkin Seeds

If you’ve ever carved a pumpkin for Halloween, you know you have to take out all the insides before you set it on your porch. Clean off the seeds and you can roast them for a snack!

Grapes

Grapes are so delicious when roasted and become beautifully caramelized. Roast them at a high heat for about 10 minutes, and use them on bread with cheese, greek yogurt, or however you would treat a fruit preserve.

Garlic

The taste of roasted garlic cannot be matched. Although it’s used to sautee different vegetables, when roasted, it stands on its own. Spread it on bread or add it to sauces or soups and taste the difference.
