If you dread spicy food, stop reading now. But if you’re a fan or just a curious adventurer, get ready to turn up the heat with some hot sauce hacks that will tantalize your taste buds. Whether you’re an experienced spice enthusiast or just starting out, these three cool ways to use hot sauce will upgrade your menu.

Fiery Tacos

Turn Taco Tuesday into a party of flavors by giving your tacos a spicy twist. First, mix hot sauce with sour cream or mayo to create an easy taco sauce. Next, drizzle it over seasoned meats and slip into a tortilla. If you’re feeling extra brave, you can also add some chopped jalapeños.

Spicy Stir-Fry

Take your stir-fry to the next level by adding hot sauce. Creating a hot stir-fry sauce is simple: just blend some hot sauce with soy sauce, ginger, and a bit of honey. Toss it with your choice of vegetables and protein for a stir-fry that’s a spice lover’s dream.

Brave Breakfast Burritos

This one’s not for the faint of heart. If you’re up for it, kickstart your morning with a spicy breakfast burrito. Mix some hot sauce into scrambled eggs, then spread it on a tortilla and add your favorite breakfast ingredients. From crispy bacon to creamy avocado – everything goes. Now, that’s what you call a wake-up call.

Spice lovers are always on the hunt for a hot sauce that’ll knock their socks off. We aren’t talking about meek hot sauces that may be appropriate with your standard, everyday dish—we’re talking as hot as possible. After a lot of taste testing, these are 2020’s hottest hot sauces.

Mad Dog 357 No. 9 Plutonium – $105.99

American David Ashley is the mastermind behind what may just be the hottest hot sauce on the planet. He personally invents each flavor, and the Mad Dog 357 No. 9 Plutonium is the hottest. In fact, it’s so hot that it actually comes in a solid form and has to be heated to 140 Farenehit in order to use it.

The Source Hot Sauce – $159

Created in the state of Kansas, the Source Hot Sauce is one of the hottest hot sauces around. However, it’s not quite as hot as the Mad Dog. However, they do share some similarities in that it’s an extract that must only be used one drop at a time, and that it’s made in small batches. Indeed, these are not hot sauces that should be thought of as condiments like sriracha.

Read all of the warnings before you use either of these hot sauces and be prepared for some seriously spicy food. We recommend keeping a glass of milk close by.

Ginger is a root that was originally grown in Asia but is now used worldwide. Not only is ginger amazing for digestion, it has anti-inflammatory properties that help with achy joints, as well as sore muscles, and more. Adding ginger into your favorite dishes provides you with all these health benefits and more, not to mention a ton of delicious flavor.

Curry

No curry is complete without some ginger. When it is freshly grated, there is no better smell on earth. A good way to incorperate into your day to day curries is by combining it with garlic and a spicy pepper and cooking that for a bit with the spices you’re planning on using. This will provide a huge burst of flavor and provides a great basis for your curry.

Soup

If you’re making a soup with an immersion blender, you should definitely start using ginger! Since the soup will be blended anyway, you can throw in a couple of chunks of ginger into your favorite soups like, carrot, pea, or even tomato!

Salad Dressing

Nothing spices up a salad quite like ginger. Combining it with soy sauce for a dressing is a really healthy way to kick your salads up a notch.

There are all sorts of peppers around the globe. Peppers can have very sophisticated flavor profiles, even those that are incredibly spicy. Next time you want to add some peppers to your plate, follow this guide to decide what’s right for you.

Shishito Pepper

This pepper is native to East Asia. It’s a sweet pepper that can be used in Asian dishes or added to any regular protein. An easy way to prepare is to slightly char it in a pan and top it with lemon juice and salt.

Haberno Pepper

The habanero pepper is a very hot pepper used in Latin and Indian cuisines. To down the intensity of the pepper, it’s best to take out the seeds before you start cooking with them. Use habaneros pepper to add a punch to tacos, or use it in a lamb curry to kick it up a notch.

Poblano Pepper

The poblano pepper is a mild pepper from Mexico. It also called an ancho pepper when it is dried. There are many ways to use this type of pepper, but first, you must char and remove the skin. You can then stuff it with meat or make it into chile relleno.
