A mortar and pestle is a type of bowl and club-shaped object that has been used since ancient times all over the world. Known by different names, the idea of a mortar and pestle is to crush items and turn them into pastes and powders. They were used for medicinal and culinary purposes in the past, and can be found in many kitchens to this day.

You would think that a blender or food processor would break down the food better so an even flavor of every ingredient would come out, but that’s just not the case.
