Winter is the best season to enjoy healthy, creamy soups. This recipe will save you so much time and become your favorite after the first try.
This creamy spinach soup is done in just 25 minutes, and it’s meant for 4 servings.
Ingredients
- 16 oz fresh spinach, washed, dried and without stems
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 2-3 pinches nutmeg
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
To prepare the cream spinach soup you first need to get a pot.
Add the butter and melt it. Next, include the garlic and onion. Set the stove to medium-low and cook the onion until it becomes translucent.
Once it does, you should mix in the spinach, chicken broth, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
Wait for the spinach soup to start boiling, and when it does you should reduce the heat.
Let the soup simmer for 10 minutes. The spinach should be soft.
Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool down. Transfer it to a food processor or a blender.
Blend until you get a smooth consistency. Now, pour the soup back in the pot.
Include the heavy cream and heat it for a few minutes.
