Mouth-Watering Pizzelle Cookies Recipe

Pizzelle cookies are the best thing you can make for the winter season. All you need is a few simple ingredients and a special iron.

This is an interesting, delicious Italian sweet treat that looks very much like thin waffles. They are usually served with powdered sugar, but you can add any of your favorite toppings. Check out the 45-minute recipe below.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

Start by combining the vanilla, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and milk together. Whisk all the ingredients to get a smooth mixture.

Next, include the baking powder and flour. Mix again, making sure that the batter has a smooth consistency.

Prepare your pizzelle iron with oil and turn it on. You need around one tablespoon of batter for each pizzelle.

Let them cook for half a minute, and you can then check. Feel free to cook more if needed.

Remove the cookies from the iron and start making a new batch. Let them cool down, and when you’re all done, you can serve them.

Top the cookies off with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
