Frustrated by not getting more juice out of your lemon despite knowing they have it in them? Well, your frustration will go away if you try one of these simple tips.

Microwave the Lemon

Pop the lemon in a microwave and let it spin for 20 seconds. This treatment will soften the lemon and make it easier to squeeze, resulting in more juice.

Roll the Lemon

By rolling the lemon against a counter or even between your palms, you are breaking the membranes inside that contain the juice. This helps in an easier extraction.

Bathe Lemon in Warm Water

Only do this if you don’t need lemon juice right away. Fill out a small bowl with warm water and place the lemons inside. Then leave them to bathe for about 30 minutes. The warm water will soften the hard skin of the lemon, making it easy to get all the juice out, even by just squeezing it.

Cut the Lemon Lengthwise

Most people cut lemon crosswise, which seems logical. However, if you are out to get more lemon, then cutting it lengthwise is a much better option. There is more surface area, and more pulps are sliced, which, you’ve guessed it, means more juice out of your lemon.
