There is nothing better in the excruciating heat than a cool and tasty margarita. Summertime dictates regular refreshments, but you’re going to need a special one if you’re to survive this sizzling season. Sweetness and a little bit of sourness combine to form the cocktail of your life. If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, you can also a pinch of chili powder.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 lime wedges, for garnish
  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 c. kosher salt or coarse sea salt, for rim
  • 4 oz. tequila
  • 2 oz. triple sec

How to make it:

  1. The first step consists of adding the salt to a small, but shallow plate. What you’ll do next will be to coat the rims of the glasses with lime wedge and dip those tips into the salt gently. This will cause the salt to stick and for the taste to be altered.
  2. Make sure you divide the triple sec, lime juice, and tequila into 2 separate glasses. The next thing you have to do is stir in order for the ingredients to mesh. Next, you add ice, garnish it a little bit with lime and serve to your guests.
