Granola is a breakfast and travel staple, and it’s easy to understand why. It has a delightful crunchy texture, it gives you lots of energy, and it’s delicious. Most people tend to buy store-bought granola, maybe because they don’t realize how easy it is to make your own granola at home.
All you need is a small handful of ingredients:
- oats
- your preferred sweetener
- oil
- optionally, nuts or dried fruit to mix in with your granola
Instructions:
- First, you need to coat your oats in a 50/50 combination of oil and sweetener. For the sweetener, you can use honey, maple syrup, agave, or whatever you prefer.
- At this stage, you can also add seasonings like cinnamon and any nuts you want.
- Mix up this mixture and spread it out onto a baking sheet, pressing it down into an even layer. Toss it into the oven at 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- After 10 minutes take it out and stir to get the granola nice and clumpy. Then finish it off with ten more minutes in the oven.
- After you take it out, you can add dry fruit if you want. And that’s all! It’s really that easy. Enjoy your homemade granola made just to your liking.
