Blueberries are a super popular fruit and have often been labeled a ‘superfood’. This simply means they’re full of healthy vitamins and minerals which make them a perfect addition to your diet. They are lovely just to snack on, but if you want some more interesting ways to have them then here are some ideas.

Add Them to Porridge

Blueberries are ideal for scattering over porridge. When paired with nut butter or Greek yogurt you’ll be getting a super balanced meal with carbs, fruit, and protein. The perfect start to the day!

Blueberry Muffins

This classic recipe is popular for a reason. Blueberries work perfectly within muffins. Just use a simple muffin recipe and stir some blueberries through the mixture before baking. Perfect with your morning coffee.

Make a Smoothie

Blueberries have a delicate flavor but you’ll really notice them in a smoothie context. Just blitz them up with some bananas, strawberries, and raspberries for a delicious and healthy drink.

Dip Them in Yogurt

This is a really easy and satisfying healthy, sweet snack. Just dip some blueberries in some plain yogurt and then place them in the freezer to allow the yogurt to set.

Have you ever wondered what would work as the perfect topping for ice cream, waffles, yogurt, and so much more? One of our favorite picks is a sauce with a base of cooked berries, thanks to the amazing combination of sweet and tangy that it brings to the table. So if you’re thinking about branching out and trying to make your own version of this tasty sauce at home, here’s how you can do it!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup blackberries
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ tablespoon sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons water

Instructions

The first thing you’ll want to do is add all of the ingredients of your sauce to a medium saucepan on your stove. Once they’re all in and mixed together thoroughly, turn up the heat to medium-high and bring to a simmer. As the mixture is warming, constantly mix with a wooden spoon in order to ensure that things do not stick or burn to the saucepan.

Once the mix is simmering, reduce the heat to medium-low and allow to cook until it has reached a mildly runny but not completely liquid texture. Allow to cool and serve fresh on whatever food you would like! If you want to save this sauce or have some leftover, you can put it in a seal-tight jar and store refrigerated for up to a week. Enjoy!

There’s nothing quite like a tasty plate of french toast for breakfast or brunch, is there? This deceptively simple dish to make is a favorite in the United States that is beloved by man thanks to its sweet taste and easy preparation.

Are you looking to make your french toast memorable? Don’t eat it plain! Instead, try out these toppings, which make it taste even better.

Maple Syrup

The classic topping for french toast is maple syrup, a delectable treat that is collected from the sugar maple trees of the northeastern US and parts of Canada. Rich and bursting with hints of caramel and toffee, this “liquid gold” is a must for your french toast.

Powdered Sugar

Powdered sugar is another popular topping for french toast for those who don’t have access to maple syrup or prefer a different sweet touch. Sprinkle a light dusting of powdered sugar on top of your french toast to sweeten it up a bit.

Blueberries

Whether you use maple syrup or powdered sugar (or no sweet topping at all!), blueberries are another great addition on top of your French Toast. The mild tartness of this tasty fruit is the perfect balance for all of the rich sweetness of the plate.
