Have you ever tried a blueberry buckle cake? This is one of the classic cakes you need to make and it’s so easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
For the cake:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 pint blueberries
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter
For the topping:
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions:
- Set the oven to 375 F degrees and prepare an 8-inch springform pan.
- Combine the baking powder with 2 cups of flour and salt.
- Get a standing mixer and beat the sugar with butter. After 3 minutes you can add the egg as well.
- Next, start including the flour mix from before, but do it in 3 parts. Add 1 part of the flour mix, then some milk. Continue doing this until you’re done.
- Mix the blueberries with 1 to 2 tablespoons flour.
- Add them to the flour mixture.
- You can now transfer the blueberry buckle in the springform pan.
- Get a bowl and mix the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and butter together. You will get crumbles, and add them on top of the cake.
- Leave it in the oven for 1 hour and if you need you can continue for 5 to 10 more minutes.
