Beer travel has become a huge hit for suds lovers over the past several years, and opportunities have opened up for people to travel around and hit some of the best countries’ breweries all around the world.
If you’re a beer lover, which countries should you add to your list of places to visit? Here are three that you must go to.
Belgium
Belgium is arguably the world’s beer capital, with an almost unbelievable number of world-class breweries packed into a country of just under 12 million. There’s a huge variety of beers to discover here, whether you’re a fan of Belgian strong ales, lambics, or Flemish red ales.
If there’s one country that we associate with the brewing and consumption of beer, it’s probably Germany. Oktoberfest is a can’t-miss festival, but even if you aren’t able to go at this time of the year, a huge variety of breweries such as Paulaner, Weihenstephan, and Ayinger are out there to discover.
The US’s beer scene is, in general, a little different than most other countries’. The craft beer movement took off here, and is now widespread with thousands of tiny breweries dotting big cities and small towns across the land and offering a personal, diverse experience that you can bend according to your preferences.
