Reindeer Bait—The Perfect Treat for Santa’s Hardest Workers

Baking cookies for Santa is one of our favorite Christmas traditions, but have you ever stopped to wonder what Santa’s reindeer eat? The reindeer work hard to make sure all your Christmas presents get delivered and they can use a treat too. That’s where Reindeer Bait comes in.

Similar to Santa’s Trash, dirt cakes, and puppy chow, Reindeer Bait is pretty much a trail mix that uses all the ingredients found in your pantry. You can use anything sweet and salty with some of our favorites being candy canes, marshmallows, M&M’s, chocolate chips, sprinkles, popcorn, pretzels, Chex, and nuts.

To make this tasty treat, all you have to do is put the sweet things on a baking sheet and mix in the salty treats. To hold everything together, add melted white chocolate chips, and mix everything. Then refrigerate the tray for about an hour and once everything is set, break the Bait into smaller pieces.

It is really that easy to make a treat that Rudolph, Prancer, and Blitzen will enjoy. We promise we won’t tell if you munch on some too!
