Bring Fancy Dining To The Table With This Salmon En Croute Recipe

After trying this salmon en croute, you will be so in love that it will become your favorite recipe. The total cooking time is 35 minutes.

Ingredients

The ingredients you need are:
2 boneless, skinless salmon fillets
1 17.5-oz package puff pastry, thawed
1 8-oz package softened cream cheese
1 minced clove garlic
1/2 lemon, zested and juiced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 cup watercress
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
1 beaten egg

Instructions

  • Set the oven to 375 F degrees.
  • Get a sieve and put the watercress on it. Add boiling water on top and paper towels.
  • Mix the watercress with the zest of lemon. In a second bowl combine the parsley, cream cheese, dill, and garlic.
  • Get 2 of the pastry sheets and cut them in half. They should be bigger than the fillets. Top each sheet off with 1/2 watercress mix and 1/2 cream cheese mix. Place the salmon on top and add lemon juice.
  • Get the egg and a brush and cover the edges of the puff sheets with it. Wrap the edges of the pastry all over the salmon and make sure they are sealed.
  • Place the salmon en croute on the baking pan with the bottom side of the pastry up. Add egg on top of it. Bake them for 20 to 25 minutes.
