Caramel Rolls Are Even Better Than Cinnamon

Welcome to another cooking upgrade that will blow your mind. Caramel rolls are our latest obsession, and they are so amazing! This recipe takes 2 hours and 20 minutes in total and delivers 18 rolls.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • cinnamon-sugar mixture
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 1/4-oz packages yeast
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 6 1/2 cups flour

For the topping you need:

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water

Instructions

Start by combining the yeast and water. After 5 minutes add in 2 cups of flour, sugar, and salt. Include the butter, egg and start mixing. Add the rest of the flour and your dough is almost ready. Leave it on the side and wait until it reaches double the size.

Add some flour before you start rolling the dough. It should have a size of 18×12 inches. Add a little bit of butter on top of it, then the cinnamon-sugar topping. You can now roll it. Each roll should be 1 inch, which means you will get around 18 pieces.

Melt the butter and brown sugar in the microwave. Add 3 tablespoons water.

Get three pans, add the caramel mixture and then the caramel rolls. Wait for 45 minutes, then bake them for 20. The recommended temperature is 325 F degrees.
