The post Aluminum Foil is TikTok’s New Favorite Way of Making Popcorn appeared first on Cooking 4 All.
]]>A new trend surfaced on TikTok recently and features users making popcorn in aluminum foil. We know it sounds unusual but most food trends on TikTok do.
One of the most popular videos linked with this trend belongs to @alona_loewen. In a viral clip, which received 47 million views, the TikToker can be seen placing a sheet of aluminum foil on a pan. They then dump a cup of kernels on it and add a stick of butter and a pinch of salt. Another aluminum foil sheet is placed on top and the edges are sealed.
The user then pokes a small hole in the top and heats the aluminum bag of popcorn while shaking it. The kernels soon start popping and quickly fill up the aluminum bag.
Numerous other TikTokers tried the same method and some got positive results while others were disappointed. It appears that the only way to find out is to try it yourself.

]]>“Rebel floats” made it to Pinterest’s list of the leading food trends for 2025, and they’re all about putting a radical twist on the way we drink soda. “Cream soda aesthetic” is one of the trending terms to emerge under this category, but fruit soda, homemade soda, and soda drink recipes are also experiencing a boom.
Many of Pinterest’s leading food trends for 2025 are all about embracing chaos, and the rise of “chaos cakes” is the best example on the list. The days of perfectly polished sweet treats are long behind us, and Pinterest users can’t get enough of cakes with a silly vibe, including rat cakes, celeb crush cakes, and funny bento cakes.
If you’re a huge fan of pickles, you’re not alone since everyone on Pinterest seems to be feeling the same way. The humble pickle will get a moment to shine in the spotlight after a wide range of dill-icious foods and drinks started trending on Pinterest, ranging from pickle cakes and margaritas to pickle de gallo and pickle fries.

]]>The post A Ketchup Bottle is the Perfect Container for Cooking Oil According to TikTok appeared first on Cooking 4 All.
]]>The idea behind this hack is that standard bottles for vegetable and other cooking oils are prone to spilling and unmeasured application, while ketchup bottles aren’t. Thanks to a sturdy cap and silicone valve on top, nothing gets out of a ketchup bottle unless you decide.
To test this hack, all you need to do is get an empty bottle of ketchup and wash it thoroughly. After it completely dries (you might have to use paper towels to dry out the insides properly), pour the oil of your choosing inside.
Next time you are cooking something, simply take the cap off and squeeze out as much oil as you need. You will find it much easier to pour out the correct amount while you can move around the bottle and store it any way you like without worrying the oil will spill out.
If you need more convincing to test this method out, check out this demonstration video by @joniblackstone.

]]>Kroger’s trend predictions have been put together by their team of food experts, including product developers, chefs, buyers, culinary specialists, and retail data scientists. The brand’s vice president, Juan De Paoli, said they’re excited to give their customers a taste of their favorite trends, whether they’re looking to try a new dupe on a viral favorite or explore the real power of protein.
Paoli’s statement mentions two trends that made it to Kroger’s list this year—food dupes and the protein renaissance. The first one is all about choosing store brand alternatives instead of national brands as a way to save money without sacrificing quality. As for the protein renaissance, this trend is all about the rise of plant-based proteins such as beans, lentils, and hemp seeds.
Kroger’s list also predicts that Caesar dressing will be all the rage in 2025, and we’ll be using it in everything from salads to pizza and pasta. Briny foods like olives, pickles, sauerkraut, and kimchi are also trending right now, along with spices and peppers from international cuisines.

]]>The Buddha Bowl is a vegetarian meal that has been increasingly gaining popularity over the past few years. It’s made up of small portions of different types of foods like vegetables, tofu, and whole grains. It’s served cold and it’s served in—you guessed it—a bowl. One of the lovely things about the Buddha Bowl, and what makes it so social-media-worthy, is its unique aesthetics: rather than mixing the different ingredients, you group them separately in the bowl, which gives the dish an artful look.
Check out this nutritious Buddha Bowl including chickpeas, roasted brussels sprouts, kale, and cauliflower rice, seasoned with salt, cinnamon, and paprika (among other things).

Here’s another great idea. This one is a Mexican Buddha Bowl with capsicum, corn, and black beans. In the vegetable department, it combines red onion, tomato, green chili pepper, coriander, and guacamole. Seasoned with a bunch of tasty spices, it makes a perfect lunch.

]]>Cabbage steaks might be the best thing you can do with cabbage. They don’t take much from the nutritional benefits of the veggie, while they allow you to enjoy it in a new and exciting way.
As we already said, cabbage steaks are so easy to make. All you need is a head of cabbage, some oil, seasoning, and an oven. That is it.
The first thing you’ll need to do is wash the cabbage and then slice it into thick slices. Line the slices on a baking sheet and then brush them with olive oil.
Next, take all-purpose seasoning or any other seasoning of your choice and generously sprinkle cabbage slices with it. Pop it in a pre-heated oven at 350F and bake it for around 45 minutes. When done, simply serve on a plate and dig in. It’s that easy.

]]>Watermelon sandwiches are the ultimate summer snack, and like most trendy foods on TikTok – they’re incredibly easy to make. The main idea behind this dish is to use watermelon slices instead of bread when making a sandwich, but the right combo of ingredients can make your snack extra delicious.
The origins of this craze are hard to trace, but food influencer Linda who goes by @linder_surprise on TikTok helped it go viral. Her initial recipes included a combo of pickles, ketchup, cheese, fresh basil leaves, and balsamic vinegar drizzled on it, in addition to watermelon slices cut into perfect squares.

]]>When buying oysters, freshness is key. Look for oysters that are tightly closed and feel heavy in the hand, which indicates they still retain their natural seawater.
Shucking oysters requires a little skill and the right tool—an oyster knife. Here’s how to do it:
Oysters can be served raw, steamed, grilled, or fried, but serving them raw is the best way to enjoy their natural flavors. Arrange the shucked oysters on a bed of crushed ice, garnish with lemon wedges, and perhaps a little mignonette sauce.

]]>First, you’ll need a sous vide precision cooker and a large pot filled with water. Attach the cooker to the side of the pot, set your desired temperature according to the type of food you are cooking, and let the water preheat.
Season your meats or vegetables with your favorite herbs, spices, or marinades. Place them in a vacuum-seal bag or a high-quality zip-lock bag. Remove as much air as possible.
Once your water bath reaches the set temperature, place your sealed bags in the water. Make sure to fully submerge the bags for consistent cooking. Cooking times can vary significantly depending on the dish—from an hour for vegetables to up to 72 hours for certain cuts of meat like brisket.
After cooking, sear meats in a hot skillet with a bit of oil for 1-2 minutes per side to develop a flavorful crust. Vegetables can be served as is or quickly sautéed with herbs and butter for an extra flavor boost.

For a refreshing and filling snack, blend together a ripe banana, a generous dollop of peanut butter, some Greek yogurt, and a splash of milk. This smoothie tastes like a creamy milkshake, but it’s packed with protein and healthy fats to keep you satisfied.
If you’re looking for a snack that feels like a treat without the guilt, try stuffing pitted dates with peanut butter. Simply slit the dates open, remove the pits, and fill them with a teaspoon of peanut butter. These stuffed dates offer a perfect balance of sweetness from the dates and richness from the peanut butter.
