Some mornings when you wake up you just know that fruit and granola just won’t cut it. For mornings like these, you need this recipe for the ultimate breakfast bagel. Chewy, savory, and totally satisfying, you can have this delicacy on the table in under ten minutes, so you don’t need to wait too long. You can always add cheese, an egg, or some salad leaves if you’d like to change up the recipe, but it really is fantastic in its simpler state, too.
Ingredients (to serve 1):
- 1 bagel
- 2 slices of back bacon
- 1/2 a ripe avocado
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper, for seasoning
- Hot sauce (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat a skillet and then add the bacon slices.
- Meanwhile, heat the bagel in a toaster.
- Remove the bacon from the pan once cooked.
- Slice the avocado and place over one-half of the bagel.
- Drizzle over the olive oil and hot sauce, if using.
- Top with the bacon slices and a little salt and pepper, then add the other half of the bagel.
