Have An Amazing Shrimp Boil With This Recipe

Summer is the time to be outside, be with your friends and family, and eat those special summertime foods. One of the best ways to do all these unique parts of summer all in one is to make a boil! A boil is a traditional Southern and Cajun meal when you boil all sorts of ingredients together with beautiful spices and aromatics.

After it’s all done cooking, you pour it out onto a table covered in newspaper and have everyone gather around and eat with their hands. Follow this recipe and your friends and their stomachs will thank you.

Method

  1. Fill the pot ¾ of the way with water and put in the following spices: whole allspice, whole mustard seeds, dill weed, salt, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, and whole coriander seeds.
  2. Once the water has come to a boil, put in small red potatoes and wait until they are nearly soft.
  3. Once the potatoes are almost done, throw in ears of corn cut in half or thirds.
  4. When the corn is done, throw in sausage for a few minutes, then at the last minute
  5. At the very end, throw in shrimp and a few lemons for just a few minutes until the shrimp turn pink.
  6. Pour onto a table, cover it with butter and lemon juice and enjoy!
