Lavish Winter Cocktails To Keep You Warm All Season

Winter may bring about the coldest of days, but that’s what makes the warm things all the more cozy! Cocktails are great ways to keep us feeling toasty during these chilly months, especially when you’re out on the town with your besties. However, if you’re looking to entertain some guests who are taking shelter from the cold in your apartment, here are some winter cocktails you can make for them.

The Old Fashioned

Put a sugar cube into a rocks glass, pour three dashes of bitters, and 1 tablespoon of water on top. Stir the mixture until the sugar cube has dissolved. After adding a large ice cube to the glass, top with 2 ounces of bourbon, and stir the whole drink until it is cold. Serve with a strip of orange peel.

French 75

Shake 2 ounces of gin, 1.2 ounces of syrup, and 3/4 ounces of lemon juice in a cocktail shaker that’s filled with ice. Pour into a flute glass before filling it up with a further 2 ounces of sparkling wine or champagne. Bringing in a taste of summer (which ironically feels nice in the winter), it looks great served with a twist of lemon rind running through it.

Mai Tai

Mix 1 ounces of amber rum, 1/2 ounces of Cointreau, 1/2 ounces of orange juice, and 1/2 ounces lime juice in a cocktail shake filled with ice. Mix until the whole drink is cold. Serve in a rocks glass and pour 1 ounce of dark rum on top for a cool finish. Serve with a lemon or pineapple wedge if desired.
