Baked ziti is one of those recipes that is easy to throw together, especially if you are trying to feed a big crowd. Baked ziti is filling, delicious, and it is sure to please everyone. Instructions

  1. Start by bringing a pot of water to a boil. Salt it, put a whole box of ziti in, and give it a big stir.
  2. Cook the pasta for about 13 minutes until it is firm but soft enough to eat.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  4. Drain the pasta and put it into a large bowl with 15oz of ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups of homemade or store-bought pasta sauce, 8oz of mozzarella cheese, 1 beaten egg, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 a teaspoon of pepper.
  5. Mix everything together in the bowl.
  6. Put 1/2 a cup of tomato sauce at the bottom a baking dish and then pour in the pasta cheese mixture.
  7. Top the pasta with 1/4 cup of grated parmesan and put it in the oven for 30 minutes.
  8. Allow the pasta to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
