There are few sandwiches that can compare with the bright and delicious Italian classic, a Caprese sandwich. For a taste of the Italian sun any time of year, here’s the perfect recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 large tomatoes, preferably ripe and juicy
  • 1 ball of fresh mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • High-quality extra virgin olive oil
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Ciabatta bread

Instructions

  1. Slice the tomatoes into rounds of about ¼ inch thickness. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Slice the fresh mozzarella cheese into rounds, aiming for a similar thickness to the tomatoes. Wash and pat dry the fresh basil leaves, keeping them whole or tearing them gently by hand for a rustic touch.
  2. Begin by placing a slice of tomato on the bread, followed by a slice of fresh mozzarella. Add a few basil leaves on top. Repeat this layering until you’ve achieved your desired thickness for the sandwich.
  3. Drizzle the layers lightly with high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Add a pinch of freshly ground black pepper for a subtle kick.
  4. For a warm twist, try a grilled version. Brush the outside of the bread with olive oil and grill it until the bread is toasted and the cheese begins to melt.

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

You really can’t ever go wrong with pasta, right? But while it can be easy to just throw tomato sauce on it, this pasta recipe offers a more delicate touch. When it comes to making hot cocoa, it can be super easy to just grab that hot cocoa packet and add hot water or milk. We’ve got nothing against that, but what if you want something better? There are other routes you can take, and we’re about to share one with you that’s absolutely delicious. By investing a little extra effort, you can elevate your hot cocoa experience, and here’s how to do it.

Buy Quality Dark Chocolate

Go to your local store and select your preferred brand of dark chocolate. Once you’ve decided and brought it home, break the chocolate into bite-sized pieces to prepare it for the next step.

Boil the Milk

In a small saucepan over medium heat, gently warm your milk until it reaches a gentle boil. Once your milk begins to bubble, add the dark chocolate pieces into the mix. Keep stirring as you go to ensure a smooth mixture, getting rid of all possible clumps of chocolate.

The Final Step

Eventually, your concoction should turn a shade of brown, and this means that you’re basically done. Steadily pour your newly made drink into a mug. Once you taste it, you’ll notice that it’s much richer and creamier than your standard hot cocoa packets. Enjoy!

If you’re looking for an egg-based recipe that’s both tasty, classy, and easy for guests to munch on at a lavish event, look no further than deviled eggs. This is one of the most interesting egg recipes out there, even if it’s not as common as the usual suspects such as scrambled eggs or omelets. If you’re wondering how to make it, sit tight because we’re about to give you a real crash course.

Boil The Eggs

First things first. Grab a bunch of eggs and hard-boil them in a pot. Once the eggs are hard-boiled, carefully remove the yolks without destroying the outer egg-white layer. Place the egg yolks aside for later. Slice each of the egg whites in half so that it has an opening where you can add a mixture later.

Making the Mixture

Now that the egg whites are ready to be filled, it’s time to make the tasty mixture. The way to do that is by mashing the egg yolks and combining them with mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and whichever other seasonings you want. You may also add other elements such as mustard if you like. Don’t overseason—do so little by little until you’ve achieved the ideal taste profile. Once you’ve got the perfect yellow mixture, use it to fill out each of the egg-white containers. Add some paprika on top and you’re done!

When you’re required to make endless recipes night in and night out, it can certainly get taxing after a while. Not only do you have to prepare the meals, but coming up with new ideas can be hard as well. If you’re looking for some dinner ideas that you may not have considered, here are three easy ones that’ll help you out in a pinch.

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

You really can’t ever go wrong with pasta, right? But while it can be easy to just throw tomato sauce on it, this pasta recipe offers a more delicate touch. Super easy to make, all you really have to do is all olive oil, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, and possibly some red flakes to your pasta and you’re done!

Veggie Stir-Fry

If you’re trying to serve a veggie dish but trying to add a twist, why not go for a veggie stir-fry? Grab a wok from the drawer, chop up an assortment of veggies, toss ’em in there over a medium flame, and you’ll be serving a delicious meal in no time.

One Pan Chicken

Finally, we have ourselves a chicken recipe that’s just a bit easier than you’re accustomed to. All you have to do is place a few raw chicken breasts onto a pan, add some seasonings, roast it for 30 minutes in the oven, and you’re literally done.
