The Most Popular Thanksgiving Pies

Every year we look forward to Thanksgiving as the holiday has some of the best food. After loading our plates with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes, we always make sure we save room for the star of the meal—pies. There are so many to choose between, and we’re wondering what the most popular ones are? Here’s our list in no particular order.

Pumpkin

Pumpkins are associated with fall and it’s only fitting that the Thanksgiving table has at least one pumpkin pie. The creamy combination of squash, sweetened milk, cloves, garlic, nutmeg, and cinnamon pairs perfectly into one delicious pie.

Pecan

A favorite in the south, the molasses combined with brown sugar and crunchy pecans is a bit savory and sweet.

Apple

There’s nothing more American than apple pie and it’s rare to not complete a Thanksgiving meal with it. The apples paired with cinnamon, sugar, and flaky crust just scream Thanksgiving.

Sweet Potato

Pumpkin pie may be more common than sweet potato pie, but this pie is another favorite, especially in the south. The spices and sometimes bourbon, sweeten up the pie.

Chocolate

Dessert isn’t complete without at least one chocolate-based baked good on the table. The combination of chocolate pudding and whipped cream is a favorite of any child or adult.
