Let’s be honest. Even as an adult with knowledge about nutrition and good intentions, it can sometimes be tricky to eat healthy foods like vegetables. They’re just not as exciting as all of the other, more delicious foods you could be eating. Or at least that’s how it used to be before you discovered this broccoli recipe. Seriously, it’s the kind of recipe that you’re going to want to make every week to eat on the side of every dinner you cook. And, best of all, it’s incredibly easy to make. Here’s how.

Ingredients

  • Broccoli
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  • First, cut your broccoli stalks into small floret pieces. You want them to be as small as possible, as this will help the dish achieve the crispiness that makes it so tasty.
  • As an optional step, you can partially pre-cook the broccoli so it takes less time to cook on the pan. Steaming is a great option.
  • Heat up olive oil over medium to high heat
  • While the oil heats up, mince the garlic
  • Cook broccoli in the olive oil until it begins to soften
  • Add minced garlic, stirring to coat the broccoli
  • Season to taste with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes
  • When the broccoli is sufficiently cooked through and crispy, it’s ready to serve
