The English have got a lot of things figured out: tea, queueing, and breakfast. After all, what better way is there to start your day than with a hearty, filling goodness that is the full English breakfast? You don’t have to be from the UK to enjoy this yummy morning feast. Here are some tips for how you can make it from home wherever you are.

Ingredient Tips

  • You don’t have to limit yourself to just one breakfast sausage. Go with two or even three kinds if that’s what feels right.
  • Full English breakfasts involve a lot of meat. Make it easier on yourself by going to your local butcher to get the best cuts of all of them.
  • Black pudding or blood sausage are traditional, but if they scare you, you can skip it. Don’t let this stop you from trying out this amazing meal for yourself.
  • English bacon isn’t the same as American or Canadian bacon. It’s more like a thin, smoked pork chop. Again, ask your butcher.
  • For your beans, you have to go with Heinz. That’s just the law.
  • For the bread, go simple with regular supermarket white bread.
  • Can’t pick just one? Then go with a couple different kinds. No need to get fancy.

Cooking Tips

Making a full English breakfast is basically a juggling act of multiple pots and pans. Our tip? Use one pan for meat and bread and another for mushrooms, tomatoes, and eggs.
