One of our best childhood memories is coming home and ending up in the kitchen after a long day of playing and having a tasty glass of chocolate milk put in front of us.

While you can buy the ingredients for chocolate milk at the store, a homemade version of this drink always ends up tasting way better than the store-bought stuff. Make this recipe for your kids, and you’ll see how much they love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 liter whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon chocolate syrup
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Start off by pouring the liter of whole milk into your blender. Be sure that the milk is cold, as it could end up spoiling if you leave it out too long during the process of making your chocolate milk.

Next, go ahead and add the rest of the ingredients into the blender along with the milk. Stir as you go with a large spoon in order to ensure that big chunks of solid additions do not form.

After this, go ahead and turn on your blender to medium-high and let the ingredients get mixed around for about 30 seconds. Check to be sure that nothing has settled at the bottom, and if it has, loosen it up with your spoon and then blend a few additional seconds.

Place the milk into a glass jar and refrigerate. Serve within a week to ensure that it is fresh. Enjoy!
