NYC’s Magnolia Bakery Makes The Best Banana Pudding

Most bakeries have a signature baked good that makes them stand out from the crowd. At New York City’s Magnolia Bakery, the bakers are known for some pretty delectable confections—but the banana pudding is what put them on the map.

The Banana Pudding

When Magnolia Bakery opened its doors in 1996 in Manhattan’s West Village, its original owners and bakers  Jennifer Appel and Allysa Torey knew they needed something special. Their unique recipe for banana pudding quickly became a fan favorite.

It features vanilla pudding, condensed milk, nilla wafers, coconut, chocolate chips, bananas, cream, and confetti. Those ingredients might make it sound like it’s easy to reproduce at home, but it does require a recipe and that special Magnolia touch. If you want to learn how to make your own banana pudding, you can order a DIY Magnolia Bakery Banana Pudding kit.

The kit comes with all of the ingredients you need to make the pudding, and an invite to the baking class hosted on Zoom. The best part is you’ll get to meet Bobby Lloyd, the Chief Baking Officer at Magnolia Bakery.

This is a great activity for the budding baker looking to add a new recipe to their repertoire!
