We don’t know about you, but as soon as we think of garlic bread, we have to have some. The comforting smell and amazing taste make it the best food for any time of the day.

While garlic bread rarely gets boring even in its simplest form, experimenting with it can make it even more delicious than you thought it could be. This is why we loved the recipe for roasted shallot and garlic bread recently shared by TikTok user @butt.erhand.

How to Make Roasted Shallot and Garlic Bread

In a hugely popular video, which got close to 170 million views since being posted earlier this year, @butt.erhand presented a simple recipe for roasted shallot and garlic bread that you won’t be able to get enough of once you try it.

To make this version of garlic bread, you will need to get two garlic bulbs and three smaller shallots. Cut them open on the top, drizzle with some olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and wrap them in aluminum foil. Bake at 350 for one hour.

After the garlic and shallot cooled off, squeeze them out in a bowl and add 125g softened butter, two tablespoons miso, 1/2 tablespoons chili flakes, and salt and pepper. Mix well until it turns into a paste.

Take a loaf of Italian bread and cut it lengthwise in half. Spread the shallot and garlic paste onto the bottom half of the bread and generously top it with the cheese of your choice. Grill or broil at 350F for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Top the roasted shallot and garlic bread with some freshly chopped parsley and drizzle with honey. Cut into pieces and dig in.
