4 Delicious and Easy Mushroom Dishes

Mushrooms are one of the most versatile and productive foods on the planet. Keep your kitchen stocked with them and you’ll always be able to whip up tasty meals in a matter of minutes. Here are four delicious and simple mushroom dishes that should be in every cook’s arsenal.

Garlic Mushrooms

Finely slice closed cup, button, or chestnut mushrooms and fry over medium heat in olive oil for around four minutes. Season with salt and pepper before frying grated garlic for one minute. Serve on toast, with pasta or baked potato.

Stuffed Mushrooms

Set Portobello mushrooms stalk side up on a baking tray and drizzle in olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and stuff with cheese, bacon, peppers, breadcrumbs, rosemary, or a combination of these. Bake for 20 minutes until soft.

Creamy Mushroom Pasta

Finely slice chestnut and Portobello mushrooms and cook in olive oil for five minutes, and then season with salt and pepper. Add finely sliced shallots and cook for a further three minutes before frying crushed garlic for another minute. Add crème fraiche and stir into the mushrooms until thick. Serve with pasta.

Enokitake Noodles

Saute your enokitake mushrooms and fry them on medium heat in sesame oil. Add garlic, onions, soy sauce, sriracha, sweet chili sauce, and teriyaki before frying the egg noodles for around five minutes.
