After Trying These Melting Potatoes There’s Is No Way Back

Potatoes are everyone’s best friend, isn’t it? You have plenty of ways to cook them. You can bake them, fry them, steam them, mash them or hasselback them. You can also turn them into fries, puree or even into gnocchi, but when you will taste the ‘melting potatoes’, you will understand there is no way back.

We have spotted different melting potatoes recipes on Pinterest and tried a few of them until We came to this very best one, with creamy caramelised parts that just melt in your mouth.

Want to try them as well? Here is how to do it. Very simple.

Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Peel 2 pounds of potatoes, the ones you are using for mashed potatoes – in every country it’s a different brand, and slice them into 1-inch thick rounds. We are not doing french fries so it’s normal if they seem thick to you. Add 4 tbsp of melted butter to those round shaped potatoes, 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or rosemary), 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp ground pepper. Mix all together, transfer it to a metal baking dish and arrange them in single layers.

Bake for 15 minutes, flip the potatoes, then bake 15 minutes more. Remove the dish from the oven and add 1 cup chicken stock and 3 smashed garlic cloves. Return in the oven for 15 minutes more. Serve warm to your very lucky guests.
