When we think of our favorite snack food, the first thing that comes to mind is the mighty tortilla chip. These little fried beauties have become popular over the past couple of decades as a snack food around the world, being sold in stores and restaurants everywhere.

Have you ever tried making a homemade version of tortilla chips, though? It is way easier than you would think if you have an air fryer. Here’s how to whip them up.

Ingredients

  • 10 corn tortillas
  • Olive oil spray
  • Salt

Instructions

Start off by taking your corn tortillas and using a sharp knife cutting them into equal triangles. Depending on their size, you may get anywhere from 4-8 “chips” per tortilla. Set aside.

Take your olive oil spray and lightly coat each side of each triangle of tortilla. Don’t overdo the amount that you use, as it’s not necessary to soak the chips in oil.

Place the tortilla chips into the basket of your air fryer and sprinkle them with salt. Turn on the air fryer and let them crisp up for around 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Remove, and either enjoy fresh or place them into an airtight storage container and consume over the next week.
