Keep This Decadent Chocolate Treat Ready in the Fridge

Sometimes, we all need a sweet treat to pick us up and give us back our energy for the day. Luckily, this chocolate treat is quick and easy to make, and can store in your fridge for up to 2 weeks, so you can always have an energy boost ready to go.


  • 2 tablespoons of chocolate spread
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup of high cocoa content chocolate (40% or more)
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped mixed nuts
  • 1 teaspoon of maple syrup


  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave.
  2. Whisk together the melted chocolate, oil, and chocolate spread.
  3. Stir in the nuts and maple syrup. Spread out onto a tray so the mix is just under 1 inch thick.
  4. Place in the fridge for half an hour to cool and set.
  5. Slice into bars or squares, these will store in a container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
