The season of oranges is just starting and the fresh fruit is everywhere. If you are hosting friends or just want to have a sweet week, here is a very simple orange cake with ingredients you can easily find.
Ingredients
- 2 Oranges
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.5 teaspoon baking powder
- 200 g sour cream
- 100 g soft butter
- 100 sugar
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 390°F.
- Zest the two oranges and then squeeze the juice from one of them.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking powder, the sugar, and add the orange zest.
- In a second large bowl mix the eggs, sour cream, and the butter until well combined.
- Mix the content of the two bowls together and mix just until they unify. Then move to an English cake tin.
- Bake for about 45 minutes and then chill until the cake is at room temperature. Enjoy.
