While breakfast sandwiches are a great way to start the day, sometimes you simply don’t feel like a bun, especially if on a strict diet. Fortunately, there are some ways to enjoy a scrumptious yet bunless meal first thing in the morning. Here is your guide to cooking a bunless bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich.
Ingredients
- 1 slice cooked bacon
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 avocado
Instructions
- Place two mason jar lids in a medium nonstick pan with the centers removed. Spray the pan with cooking spray and place over medium heat. Then, crack the eggs into the center of the lids.
- Use a fork to poke the yolks and mix them up with the egg whites. Cook them through for about 3 minutes, until the whites are cooked through. Remove the lid and top one egg with cheddar.
- Cook for another minute until the cheese is melting. Place the one egg bun onto a plate and add the bacon and avocado before topping with the other egg.
