Easy to Make Fried Cauliflower with Lemon and Chili Flakes

The lemon juice and chili flakes make this dish remarkable. It can be served as a snack or as a side dish to chicken or beef main dishes. Make sure the oil is very hot before you start frying so it won’t soak the cauliflower.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 1/3 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons cornflour
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Oil for deep fry
  • 2 tablespoons of salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the cauliflower into medium size flowers. Steam the flowers for about 5 minutes until they are a bit softer, but not completely soft. Drain and cool for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl mix the cornflour and the salt. Add the cauliflower and mix to get a tender coating.
  3. In another bowl mix the lemon juice, chili flakes, soy sauce, and sugar.
  4. Heat the oil and then dip the cauliflower in the sauce mixture of lemon and chill and fry for 3-4 minutes until it’s golden. Carefully remove the cauliflower from the hot oil and soak with paper. Serve warm. Enjoy.
