The lemon juice and chili flakes make this dish remarkable. It can be served as a snack or as a side dish to chicken or beef main dishes. Make sure the oil is very hot before you start frying so it won’t soak the cauliflower.
Ingredients:
- 1 cauliflower
- 1/3 cup of fresh lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons cornflour
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Oil for deep fry
- 2 tablespoons of salt
Instructions
- Cut the cauliflower into medium size flowers. Steam the flowers for about 5 minutes until they are a bit softer, but not completely soft. Drain and cool for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl mix the cornflour and the salt. Add the cauliflower and mix to get a tender coating.
- In another bowl mix the lemon juice, chili flakes, soy sauce, and sugar.
- Heat the oil and then dip the cauliflower in the sauce mixture of lemon and chill and fry for 3-4 minutes until it’s golden. Carefully remove the cauliflower from the hot oil and soak with paper. Serve warm. Enjoy.
