Here’s How To Best Cook Acorn Squash

Acorn squash can be cooked in so many different ways, but this recipe delivers a delicious maple syrup caramelized finish no one can say no to. The total cooking time is 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • acorn squash
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • flaky sea salt
  • 1/4 cup salted butter

Instructions

Turn on the oven and set it to 400 F degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with paper and leave it on the side.

Cut the acorn squash, remove the seeds and slice it into pieces. They should be 2 to 4 inches long and around 1 inch thick.

Get the butter and melt it in the microwave or on the stove. Transfer it in a cup and combine it with the cinnamon and maple syrup. Mix all the ingredients very well together.

Cover the squash pieces with the butter mixture. You can now place the pieces on the baking sheet. When you’re done you should still have some of the butter mix left.

Leave the acorn squash to cook for 15 minutes. Take the baking sheet out of the oven and add the rest of the butter mix. Bake for 5 to 10 more minutes.

Top the squash off with sea salt and serve it immediately.
