Our lives completely changed in the spring of 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic first started. We all hoped it would be gone in a few months, but we quickly had to learn how to adapt to a new life and realized that some things would change forever. One of the consequences of the lockdown was that we had to cook our own food more often, and millions of young people who relied on eating out before found themselves unprepared for this.

The TikTok Phenomenon

As we simultaneously started spending more time on our phones browsing social media, platforms like TikTok quickly became flooded with easy recipes and cooking tips that anyone could copy. People liked them and shared them with friends, and more and more users shared their own cooking secrets with the world.

The beauty of platforms like TikTok is that they have users from all over the world, so you can find cooking tips and recipes from many different cultures there. The young generation now finds cooking fun and they especially enjoy preparing healthy meals at home. This is a great way to save money and eat better, and we’re already spending more time at home so there’s no real downside to it.
