Alcohol

Alcohol is by far the easiest way to spend money at a restaurant. Unless they’re having a happy hour or another really good deal, it’s best to stop ordering drinks altogether. Even just one glass of wine can really start to add up.

Appetizers

Appetizers are another way that you can really start to rack up a big bill at a restaurant. For that reason, you should really cut it out as well. Although, another good option to save money is to forgo an entree completely and just order two appetizers instead, eating that as your main meal. This will also let you try more things on the menu and will usually save you money.

Communicating with Friends

If you’re going out with friends, tell them of your money situation so you don’t get stuck sharing a bill when you really can’t afford it. Although it can seem uncomfortable, in the end true friends will respect your honesty.
