The 2014 Jon Favreau movie Chef is an inspiration for food enthusiasts everywhere. In fact, it’s nearly impossible to get through the movie without pausing for some snacks.

If you’ve dreamed of making some of the dishes from the movie at home, you’re in luck. Here’s the recipe for the infamous garlic and parsley pasta, featured at the beginning of the film.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 bushel of fresh parsley
  • 1-2 heads of garlic (adjust to taste)
  • 8 Tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of chili flakes
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Slice all the garlic. Fry it in a pan on medium to high heat with a generous amount of olive oil until it becomes brown. Add salt and chili flakes to taste.
  2. In a separate pot boil pasta. Once ready, add it to the hot oil and garlic mix. Stir thoroughly. If you see that you don’t have enough olive oil, add more until the pasta is thoroughly covered.
  3. After a few minutes add thinly chopped parsley (use only the leaves). Give it a good stir. Turn off the heat and squeeze lemon over the pasta.
  4. Mix, top with parmesan, if you want, and enjoy!
