Jamie Oliver Puts Grapes on Pizza—Are You Ready for It?

Jamie Oliver is famous for preparing simple foods in innovative ways, but this time he overdid himself. Before we even settled on the question of putting pineapple on pizza, he introduced another fruit and said that it’s a “game-changer”. By putting grapes on pizza, Oliver intrigued us to try his new recipe and see if it’s really as revolutionary as he claims.

How It Started

The idea was introduced on a recent episode of Keep Cooking Family Favorites, where the famous cook made pizza with sausage, olive oil, red onion, tomato pesto, and pine nuts. In the end, he added “just a handful” of grapes and said that “once you try it, the sweetness, the saltiness, the whole kind of thing, is beautiful.”

We’re used to getting great recipes from him so we have to give this one a chance, too. If you want to recreate it, you can follow his instructions from the video below. Oliver shared a poll on Twitter asking his followers if they would put grapes on pizza and the majority said no, but perhaps they just need to try it! “The only grapes that should go with pizza are in red wine,” one of his followers replied.
