Soft pretzels are one of my guilty pleasures. This German invention is now popular in many parts of the world thanks to its popularity in shops that specialize in the creation, which can be either sweet or savory.

While commonly topped with butter and kosher salt, there are a lot of other options out there for soft pretzel lovers. Why not give these a try?

Cinnamon Sugar

Cinnamon sugar is a great option for eating a soft pretzel if you are looking for something sweet. This classic combination works perfectly with the bready richness of the pretzel, and will leave you coming back for this order time and time again.

Garlic and Parmesan

Love Italian cuisine? You’ll be surprised by how well the combination of garlic and Parmesan cheese goes on a soft pretzel. I like adding garlic butter on top of my pretzel after it finishes baking, and then sprinkling a bit of Parmesan cheese on top to be melted.

Try melting a bit of dark chocolate and then drizzling it on top of your soft pretzel for something really special. If you wait for the chocolate to harden, you’ll be left with a pretzel that exceeds your wildest dreams.
