Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas

Instructions:

  1. Heat a waffle iron and apply cooking spray.
  2. Whisk together baking powder, cinnamon, flour, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Mash bananas in a separate bowl before adding brown sugar, eggs, sugar, sour cream, and vanilla to the mix. Whisk together until smooth and add butter before whisking further.
  4. Gradually pour the dry ingredients into the banana mixture. Sprinkle in chocolate chips and mix further.
  5. Add 1/2 cup batter to the waffle iron. Cook on both sides for about 3 to 5 minutes each, until both sides appear golden.
  6. Place the waffles on a plate and top with banana slices. Serve with syrup.
