Ingredients:

Base:

  • 2 cups Oreo crushed cookie crumbs
  • ¼ cups melted butter

Filling:

  • 2 cups cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped semisweet chocolate
  • ½ cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Glaze:

  • ½ cup chopped semisweet chocolate
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions:

  1. You will first need to prepare the base of your cheesecake. Combine Oreo crushed cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl and mix until combined. Line the base in your cake pan and pop it in the refrigerator.
  2. Melt the chocolate using your microwave. Mix the chocolate in 10-second intervals to make sure it melts all the way through.
  3. Whisk the cream cheese in a bowl until smooth, and then add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Whisk few times before adding melted chocolate and continue mixing until all the ingredients are combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the whipping cream until it becomes soft and fluffy. Add it to the bowl with the rest of the filling, and then whisk until you get an even mixture.
  5. Add the filling to the base, spread evenly, and return the cake pan to the fridge.
  6. For the glaze, first bring the heavy cream to boil in a saucepan. Put the chocolate in a bowl and pour the heated heavy cream into it. Mix until chocolate is melted.
  7. After the glaze cools off a bit, pour it over your cheesecake.
  8. Return the chocolate cheesecake to the fridge and let it sit for a couple of hours. For better results, leave it in the fridge overnight before digging in.
