Although you should use spices all throughout the year, there are some spices that work better during the different seasons. Cinnamon

Whether you’re putting in into a pie, apple cider, or oatmeal, cinnamon is an absolute must for the winter. It is also amazing for your health as it has a ton of antioxidants, helps with inflammatory problems and promotes a healthy blood sugar level.

Cloves

Cloves are the perfect spice to infuse into liquids. This includes drinks like mulled wine and apple cider, but also for poaching liquids. Put cloves into a sugary simple syrup and use it to poach pears in. It is also really delicious ground up and used in things like curries.

Rosemary

Rosemary is an amazing winter herb and spice that really brings a lot of flavor to your meals. You can use it for things like roasted potatoes, baked salmon, and even soups! Rosemary is also an awesome addition to winter cocktails like gin and tonics.
