This bite-sized chicken snack will serve perfectly for these occasions and will leave everyone wanting more. Here’s how you can make some tasty popcorn chicken in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs
  • vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Combine buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix until combined.
  3. Add chicken pieces to the buttermilk mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and pop it in the fridge for at least an hour.
  4. Combine all-purpose flour and baking powder in a bowl. Take another bowl and pour in the breadcrumbs.
  5. Pour 2 inches of oil into a large pot and preheat it to 350F.
  6. Take the chicken pieces out of the refrigerator. Coat each piece in flour and baking powder mixture and then roll them in breadcrumbs.
  7. Lower the chicken pieces into the preheated oil. Use smaller batches so the pot doesn’t get overcrowded.
  8. Fry the chicken pieces for about five minutes until they get golden brown.
  9. Place the popcorn chicken on a rack or paper towel to remove the excess oil.
  10. Serve with your favorite dip and dig in!
