]]>The Buddha Bowl is a vegetarian meal that has been increasingly gaining popularity over the past few years. It’s made up of small portions of different types of foods like vegetables, tofu, and whole grains. It’s served cold and it’s served in—you guessed it—a bowl. One of the lovely things about the Buddha Bowl, and what makes it so social-media-worthy, is its unique aesthetics: rather than mixing the different ingredients, you group them separately in the bowl, which gives the dish an artful look.
Check out this nutritious Buddha Bowl including chickpeas, roasted brussels sprouts, kale, and cauliflower rice, seasoned with salt, cinnamon, and paprika (among other things).

]]>There are several ways that can help you make the bread less “stubborn” to slide out of the pan, with parchment paper proving itself as one of the most reliable options. However, this method comes with its own set of challenges.
Getting parchment paper to fit the bread pan is surprisingly annoying. You either make the wrong measurement or the paper just won’t stick to the sides, no matter how hard you try. Luckily, there is a way around this.
TikTok user @numbersixtysix recently shared a video that shows an easy way to fit parchment paper in a bread pan.
The clip, which got close to 20 million views in a few weeks, shows the TikToker flipping the bread pan upside down and covering it with parchment paper. She then folds the edges of the paper into triangular shapes, allowing it to wrap around the pan.
After that, all that’s left to do is to take the paper off while making sure it holds its shape and flip the bread pan correct side up. The parchment paper will fit perfectly into the pan, and you won’t ever have trouble with this again.

]]>Coming from the TikTok page of the comedian Jourdyn Jeaux Parks, this tip is so genius that we wonder why it’s not more common. Parks recommends cooking potatoes in a mix of chicken broth or beef stock and water, instead of using just water for that.
“I personally like the skin on my potatoes,” she says. “So I wash them, then I rub them down with avocado oil. But if you don’t like to keep the skin, you peel your potatoes, you can cut your potatoes in half, then you add a cup of water and put them in either chicken broth or beef stock depending on what you’re going to serve the mashed potatoes with.”
This way, you can get delicious mashed potatoes that match your main dish perfectly. It requires little to no extra effort and the result is definitely worth it!

Shared by user Rebecca Huffman, the idea is to store any left-over paste in the can in a small freezer bag, score the bag into sections, and freeze it. Then, whenever you need tomato paste for another recipe, you simply break off a piece of the frozen tomato paste and return the remainder to the freezer. That way, that little can is more than just single-use and the leftovers don’t go to waste.
This storage tip can be applied to any other paste or sauce left-over, that you might want to utilize in the future. The simple idea resonated with many of the video’s viewers receiving comments like “I’ve wasted so much food that I could have done this the whole time.” Sometimes, being creative in the kitchen is essential to being frugal!
