This Breakfast Smoothie Will Keep You Full Until Lunchtime

If you’re somebody who eats breakfast, you’ll know how complex the task of ensuring that your first meal of the day is healthy, balanced, and filling can be. All too often, yogurt bowls and smoothies leave us ready for lunch at 11 a.m. Luckily, this smoothie is packed full of essential nutrients, healthy fats, wholegrain carbs, and super-powered proteins to keep you full until the lunch hour rolls around.

Ingredients (to serve 1):

  • 1/4 cup of whole rolled oats
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup of milk (or plant based alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt
  • 2 handfuls of fresh spinach
  • 1/4 cup of fresh or frozen berries of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup of fresh apple juice

Instructions:

  1. Cut all the ingredients into pieces.
  2. Place all of the ingredients into a food processor or blender.
  3. Blitz until smooth and then serve.

Smoothies are a quick and easy way to start the day, and this one won’t have your energy levels crashing before you’ve made it to the morning coffee break.
