TikTok is a place where many food trends start these days, and one video recently divided the users. A nurse named Emma shared a video in which she prepares a common pasta dish, spaghetti bolognese, but instead of grating some cheese on top of it, she grates a hard-boiled egg. This caused many comments and many of them didn’t think it was a good idea.
Not Your Typical Topping
Emma mentions that people often tell her her habit is weird, so she wanted to check with TikTok followers and see if there are more people who do the same. “I grate egg on top of my spaghetti bolognese,” she says. “I haven’t seen anyone else do this, so I thought I would finally get an answer and see if anyone else does it. Does anyone think this is strange or is this normal? Please let me know.”
Some commenters even used the word “illegal” to describe how they feel about this idea, but there were some that thought it was worth a try. Would you try grating an egg on top of any pasta dish? It probably depends on whether you like hard-boiled eggs, but we don’t really see a big problem with Emma’s method.
