Homemade soda is such a fun treat to make, especially when you have guests over. Soda can be one of the most unhealthy things to have in your diet, but making it from scratch drastically cuts the amount of sugar and additives from it, which makes it a lot more manageable for your body. The best part is that each of these sodas uses sparkling water or club soda is the base, which has no calories and but keeps the fizziness soda is famous for.

Orange Soda

To make this flavor, combine water, orange juice, sugar, orange zest, and citric acid together in a pot. Heat over medium until the liquid has reduced by a third and the color is bright orange. Wait for it to cool, then mix it together with the club soda.

Lemon Soda

This flavor is similar to orange, except you swap out the orange juice and zest for lemon juice and zest. Cook the same way but without the citric acid, and after it’s cooled, add it to club soda.

Strawberry Soda

Combine water, sugar, strawberries, rose water if you have, and a pinch of salt. Heat until the liquid is boiling and all the sugar has dissolved. Puree the mixture, strain it, and serve!
