Scrambled eggs are a breakfast staple. But if you’re trying to go vegan or reduce cholesterol, or just fancy an alternative, scrambled tofu is one of the best substitutes. Here’s a quick and easy recipe that you can whip out for a breakfast hit!
Ingredients
- 10 ounces of firm tofu
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1/2 a teaspoon of black salt
- 1 cup of oat milk
- 1 cup of tahini
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Press your tofu to remove as much water as you can. Break it up with your hands until it is in small chunks and fry in oil until brown.
- In a bowl, mix your tahini and oat milk until it is a consistent texture. Add your black salt and turmeric.
- Add your mixture into the frying pan with your tofu and cook together until a creamy texture. Add salt and black pepper to taste and it is ready to serve.
- Serve on toast with mushrooms, avocado, or anything you like.
