Unique Spring Veggies to Try

The turning of the calendar to spring is a great opportunity for us to expand our taste buds and try fruits and vegetables that we might not incorporate into our diets consistently. The amount of produce available in the spring is huge, and this could be a great opportunity to start experimenting with new veggies.

Here are some options for you to pick up at your local market or grocery store!

Radishes

Radishes come into season in spring and are a versatile vegetable with tons of different uses. Mostly eaten raw due to their small size and enjoyable crunchy texture, we love adding them to our poke bowls and salads.

Artichokes

The mighty artichoke reaches its season during the spring, giving us all a great chance to try making one of the numerous recipes that feature artichokes. For example, a spinach artichoke dip or a roasted artichoke are just two of the possibilities.

Turnips

Turnips might look like a bigger version of a radish, but the truth is that they are quite different. Turnips are great when roasted in the oven with herbs, olive oil, and sea salt, making a perfect dinner side dish.
